What kind of notifications will I get from Medikyu?
Medikyu can let you know when it is time to take a pill and when you missed your dose. You can also get access to someone else’s device as an approved third party, and receive notifications when pills are taken or missed.
How do I get the app?
Visit the Apple app store and search for "Medikyu" to download the our app. You can do the same for the Google Play store.
What kind of phone do I need to receive notifications from Medikyu?
You will need a smartphone running Android (4.0 or later) or iOS (7.0 or later). However, you can still get notifications via text message if you do not have a smartphone.
Can Medikyu dispense any type of pill?
Yes, Medikyu can dispense pills of any shape, size, or texture. The Medikyu Multi can even hold up to a month's supply of 7 prescriptions, vitamins, or supplements.
Do I need WiFi to use Medikyu?
Medikyu can operate without WiFi. Medikyu sends notifications and tracks data via Bluetooth. Just sync Medikyu device with your phone at set-up and you're all set.
How is Medikyu powered?
Medikyu is powered by a rechargeable battery using a micro USB standard charger that we will provide. The battery should last about 6-8 months on a single charge depending on activity.
How can I get my pills if the battery dies?
If the battery loses power, you can open your Medikyu as usual. However, those doses may not sync with your mobile app portal.
Is Medikyu hard to set up?
We have designed Medikyu so that people of all ages can operate it. When your Medikyu ships, it will include a starter guide to make the setup process easier.
